Step One - Click on the document below. Fill in your name and address You will be asked to save it so save to either your files or your disk. Print it out this will be a cover sheet for the project folder. As you find information to complete each section you can check it off. |

Step Three - What do you know about Recreation opportunities in your neighboorhood? Open the Park and Recreation Document - fill it out, save it and print a copy for your folder. |
Step Four: If you live in a city you will need to figure out how you can get around by bus. It will allow you to be more independent, to go to school or a job site. Open the Bus Information document below and do the activities.

Step 5 - Discount Stores. Many times when you go to buy things you will go to a Discount store. A discount store usually offers a wide variety of products at a reasonable price. This will help you stay on your budget. Open the Discount Store document below and do the activities. |
Step 6 Grocery Stores. Whether you are living on your own, with roommates or with a family member, you will need to eat. You will usually have several options. Sometimes it will be easier to go to the grocery store in your neighborhood for a few things and sometimes you will want to go to a bigger store for larger quantities or cheaper prices. Open the Grocery Store document below and do the activities. |
Step 8 Now that you have completed all the worksheets it's time to complete your personal, Communtiy Resource Guide. Use the information you have already gathered, phone books, the internet or any other sources you need to help you fill it in. This document is a template. You can type directly on it and save it as Community Resource Guide your name

Step 7 Medical Information. There is a lot of information that you should have with you in case of an emergency or to schedule medical or dental appointment. Open the Medical Document below and do the activities. You might also want to write this important information on a card to carry in your purse or wallet. |
